Games and Coasters

June 13th, 2001 (4-8:30pm)

It was a very hot day (90 degrees) - not to mention the humidity. I walked to the Rides Office to sign in with the expectation of some kiddie ride. After all, I had been working "Major rides" for the last 3 days. I was very, very surprised when I was told to head up to Wildmouse.

On my long walk to the 'mouse, I noticed that the park was virtually empty. I saw no lines for anything except Canyon River Rapids, and that was only about 15 minutes tops. When I got to the Wildmouse, it was a walk-on. It remained that way for most of the day -- at one point, we had a wait of about 5 minutes, which was our longest line of the day.

Everything went smoothly on the 'mouse today. We had no breakdowns and very few times when we had to stop a car in the station. At around 8:30, my green tag comes up to see how we're doing. We're all sipping water that we had just gotten from one of the stands... our green tag looks around, points to me and the other white tag in the station and says, "You two guys can head on home". He let us off early.. and so... we headed down to the Rides Office and clocked out.

My co-worker headed out the gates, but I decided to stay for some night riding!
