Games and Coasters

Personal experience

Comfortably you recline in your seat, as you coach surges forward. After riding for four-plus hours, all of a sudden you see Superman: Ride of Steel. Slowly, the park unfolds before your very eyes; growing larger and larger as you procede to the parking area. Arriving slightly after 10:00 (still a little tired from having to wake up at 5:00am), you get dropped off right at the "not so impressive but adequate" entrance. There, you are handed a ticket(cost:$30), which is about as exciting as the gum stuck under your bus seat.

As you approach the gate, the excitement around you builds. You hand the ticket to the employee, they hand back a stub. Then, you realize that the excitement was really the need for the use of a restroom. As you find your group of friends, into the park you go. Along a straight path which branches off several hundred yards away. You may find yourself skipping along singing "Off To See the Wizard", that is, if you are with cool friends who have cynical and bizarre senses off humor, or they are just excessively happy.

First to the SUPERMAN! Line is modestly long, but the wait is only about 40 min or so. A great ride no doubt, but it is no Millennium Force (Cedar Point). Next you find yourself at a loss of where to go. After several minutes of aimless wondering, someone mentions the MIND ERASER.

It is a good distance from your location to your destination on the opposite side of the park. So you walk along. Finally, you arrive at the Eraser. Only a 10 min wait, wow! Even though it is a great ride, arguably better than the Ride of Steel, they keep lines moving with two trains running no matter how crowded the park is.

Next, you decide to head next door to the Viper. An older coaster, whose worth is under appreciated. After this semi-thrilling ride you are left with three choices. First you can go ride the sole wooden coaster in the park the Predator or maybe lose your lunch on the Boomerang. Last of all you can splurge and ride the Sky Coaster. A 180 ft. swing that jips you another $25-$40 (depending on the number of people riding).

You finally have ridden all of the important rides in the park. Now for some down time. Maybe some lunch and a show. Then back to some coasters. Done with those, you look at your watch. Still six hours left in this place. So you scatter. Some enjoy the small less important rides of the park. Some splurge and pay to race Go Carts. With the vast variety of rides and water attractions, everyone finds something to do. Others elope and watch people enjoy themselves.
Your day has ended, you are a little tired but overall pleased with your day of spills and thrills. You crawl out to the bus with your prizes and Double Mocca Espresso in a desperate attempt to stay awake. Your bus pulls away, heading through the night to your humdrum town.

Food Advice

Pack your lunch. As a person who excels at eating, I would recommend finding a sit down restaurant in the park for a lunch. The food in these places is surprisingly good(though expensive). However, much of the "quicky" food is lethal (provided there are some exceptions). Who needs food when you are running off adrenalin!
