May 26th, 2001 (4-10pm) [N*SYNC concert from 7:30-10:30]

I worked the second shift, 4-10pm, today. It was raining steadily throughout the morning, so I put on my pull-over, Hersheypark, employee-issue, windbreaker. I arrived at the employee gate around 3:45pm, signed in at 3:55pm, and then headed out to my ride for the day, Wildmouse. Gee, I seem to be getting that an awful lot ;).

It was a good day on the 'Mouse. We only had one, brief breakdown and the lines were short all night. Our maximum wait was about 10 minutes. The "N-SYNC" concert started at 7:30pm and the park emptied out.

At about 9:30pm, we closed the ride and people started making their way over to the laser show. After sweeping up some caramel corn, we were free to go and clock out. After clocking out, I made my way back to the laser show to watch that for a bit. It was neat. Not mind-blowing or earth-shattering, but definitely neat. The laser effects on the screen weren't nearly as cool as the "spread-effect" of the green lasers on the fog.

All in all, it was a great day at the park. Minimal wait times on all rides (except for the Wildcat, which, for some odd reason, was only running one train) made for a hassle-free day at the park.
