Games and Coasters

(July 29th, 4-10pm)

Walked in, clocked in, and got sent to Wildcat. Yes.

Wildcat wasn't very crowded at all. I'm not sure why -- most of the park was. For some reason, the general public seemed to be avoiding Wildcat.

The ride itself was running great! A slight drizzle had made the tracks nice and wet. The ride was completing the "run track" in about 45 seconds, as opposed to 48 seconds. It may not seem like a big difference, but it certainly feels much faster.

So... I've been down at frontline since 9:00pm; it's not 9:45pm. Bill (green tag) comes and closes the line. My relief comes and I head back up the station to help with closing. By 9:50pm, we had the last people off of the ride. My red tag asked me, "Do you have an extra shirt?"
"Yes, why?"
"We're going to do last ride."
Oh, yes...... I grabbed my extra shirt, through it on, and hopped in the front seat for a fantastic ride on the Wildcat. My train made its way out of the station. I say, "my" train because I was the only person on the ENTIRE RIDE. I just kept thinking that the whole way up the lift hill. I was estatic, to say the least.

As the train crested the lift hill, I shouted out, "Can I get a HELL YEAH?!?" -- "HELL YEEEEAAAAAHHHH!!!" Ok, sort of cheesy, but c'mon! How often am I going to get a night-ride with the Wildcat to my complete self.

The ride was simply my best ride on the Wildcat ever. No, it wasn't as intense as in the backseat, but simply being the only one on the entire train along with the wet rails, made this ride simply the best Wildcat ride I've ever had.

I returned to the station, grabbed my backpack, and headed home.
