(July 21st, 10-4pm) I clocked in, went to the morning meeting and got sent to Wildcat. Oh yeah... I've said it before and I'll say it again. The best ride in the park is simply a blast to operate. I get to do all the things I love doing. Giving the speeches, opening the gates, watching peoples' reactions as they leave the station, and doing all the things I wish were standard throughout Hersheypark (filling in ALL empty seats so the line moves faster), are ALL in a day at Wildcat. It's just great =). The park was packed today! Frontline was chaotic. Watching for small children trying to sneak by (and, yes, they try), keeping an eye on the cigarrette container to watch for fire (and, yes, it did catch on fire), and answering the barrage of questions were all things I had to balance and do while I was at frontline. It was great! Operating Wildcat is great, but it's simply awesome when you're with a good crew. The crew I was with was simply outstanding. Great job guys! I had a great day. In fact, I was having such a good time, that I was a bit disappointed when I had to leave. The night crew had an equally awesome line-up... except your's truly wasn't in it =P. A great day...probably one of the best times I've had in my entire time working at the park. |
