Games and Coasters

(July 14th, 4-10pm)

After Pony Parade and a day off, I figured that I had a good chance of getting a decent ride or a kiddie ride. I was leaning more toward kiddie ride. I was right on, because I was sent out to none other than the wonderful FunSlides.

The park was completely and utterly packed. The line for Wildcat was completely filled and up to the entrance! FunSlides also had a respectable 15 minute wait. Ouch. I expecting the day to go by very slowly, but it ended up going quickly! At the top of each slide was a squirt bottle which we used to hit guests in line for the Wildcat. The bottom of the slide was boring, but at least you could sit down -- something that is prohibited at the top of the slide.

At 9:35pm, but had a 30 minute line and we had to have everyone off by 9:55pm. Bill, our supervisor, told us to "do it double-time". Which we did. We ended up getting everyone off and out of the ride but 9:54pm! At 10:00pm, we all went to the top of the slides and watched the laser show for 30 minutes. As much as I dislike the laser show, I really don't mind getting paid to watch it ;).

After the show, we opened back up and had 30 minutes of work before clocking out and heading home. Not a bad day at all!
